Grandfather, father and daughter with a life-long interest in the underwater exploration in the Black Sea, begin their efforts to discover the treasure of the first makers of gold in the World.
With the support of the Bulgarian Centre for Underwater Archaeology, they will use sophisticated machinery and superb scuba diving skills to find the treasure in the Black Sea.

REALITY
TREASURE HUNT
A curse sunked many ships in the Black Sea and an Ex-Navy Seal, Tech Guru and Actress will use their wits, experience and knowledge to locate the treasure from the first people who processed gold in the world.
The series shall discus the history of the Black Sea, recent discoveries, theories, technologies used to explore.
The shallow waters of the Black Sea is the hotspot of what we know about ancient civilizations.
The Black Sea is very little explored because it was under the iron curtain.
THE SEA WAS A LAKE
The Black Sea was once a prehistoric lake, unconnected to the world’s oceans.
Catastrophic Deluge
How the lake became flooded and become a sea is still a mistery.
Some scientists have argued that there was a catastrophic deluge. After finding Titanic, Ballard went to the Black Sea to seek the flooded treasure.
Ballard and others believed that the Mediterenian Sea flooded the lake through Bosphorus. This flood was supported by the melting rivers from the ending of the Ice age and inspired the biblical flood story.
Scientists believe that the remains of the Noah’s Ark are still at the bottom of the Black Sea because of the anoxisity of the Sea (lack of oxigen) .
RICH EVIDENCE
Along the shores of the Black Sea there is much evidence of early humans.
DISCOVERED GOLD
The people who settled the land were the first ones in the world to discover gold and process it in a very fine jewelry.
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
In the sea’s hidden depths a few archeologists with very heavy equipment and advanced technology already found shipwrecks from a few centuries back.
However, based on experience and gained knowledge, Val is certain that the gold treasure of the first settlers is in the shallows.
UNEXPLORED SEA
Until today, the Black Sea had very little explorations. Flagged by 6 countries, the Black Sea, for most of the 20th century was hidden behind the Iron curtain.
That is not just a theory. There are numerous discoveries in the shallows of the Black Sea.

- Val Milkov has an undrewater archaeology degree from Indina Universtiy, USA Open Champion in swimming and experience in running multi-million dollar projects as IT Project Manager in the USA, Europe and ME.
- Hristo Milkov is one the creators of the Navy Seals in Bulgaria and has over 4,800 recorded scuba diving hours.
- Vivian Milkova had two successful movies as a leading actress.

We’re searching for explorers from all around the world who think they’ve got what it takes to find the treasure of the people who first processed gold in the world.
Set at the archeological hotspot of what we know about ancient civilizations, the Black Sea shallows, the treasure seekers will face demanding, daring and intense challenges while having fun with elite archeologists and scuba divers.

Treasure Hunter of the month. This is your chance to get into an episode of the Curse of the Black Sea. We will send you out a special blue shirt (for you to keep), you pop it on, take a photo of yourself and we will put it in the new set on the new Treasure Hunter of the Month board. Each person will feature in at least 1 episode!
